I can't really get into

I can't really get into those heavy tomes of space opera which populate the Waterstones' scifi section these days. I'm more of a late 60s/early 70s kind of guy. Dystopian psychedelia is more my thing.

Good point. I suppose I should think about putting some non-fiction in there. Though I have to say there isn't much of it that I'd say really changed my perspective or moved me profoundly.

good books

I read mostly sci-fi. And yet I have read remarkably few of these (apart from parts of Rama and then only because it was set as a problem in my undergraduate physics course). As usual I just settle for the trashy stuff! Dammit.

Eagerly awaiting the other 33.

I would agree with you on Nausea. It's one of those books that makes your reality wobble a little, but my wife always criticises me for being pretentious whenever I mention it.

I might also agree with Rendezvous With Rama, as it was probably the one (along with the movies 2001 and Close Encounters) that kicked off my childhood sci-fi obsession.

No non-fiction?
