Yesterday this wouldn't have mattered to me. Today after having spentv an almost sleepless night I'm pretty down with keeping my dog off the bed. She's moulting and must have snuck on there yesterday without me noticing and I've spent the entire night pulling dog hairs out of my mouth and off my head- all very itchy and unpleasant.

Our cat is very well

Our cat is very well trained, she has a cushion on the couch and only goes there, she will not jump onto any other parts or walk muddy paws across it. Training and keeping you pet health and clean is the key to keeping your house tidy when you have a pet around.

Good one. If your dog or pet however is always kept clean by you, then you should not worry about fleas transferring to your body. If your dog is also properly trained, then I bet it wouldn’t tear the sofa down. If they are properly disciplined then, they wont do those.

For furry furniture that is

For furry furniture that is true, but a flea will not last long on a leather seat. The only problem is if you sit there, it may hold onto your clothing and this is how to can spread around the house/into your car etc without needing the dog or cat. Its not hard to stop fleas, so you should, much more comfortable for you and your pet. Its totally up to you if you want to let them on the furniture or not, if your animal is clean there shouldn't be any problems. If your furniture is expensive, that is up to you to and your fault if the animal shreds it to pieces.

I agree, we dont let our dog

I agree, we dont let our dog on the sofa. While pets can be clean most of the time it is easy for them to pick up pests from other animals. Then of course there are those little accidents that dont go down well on a $2000 sofa!

Flea on furniture

I don't want to scare people but if you leave your pets get up on your furniture then there's a chance that they will spread their fleas there. Then next time you ly down on your couch the flea jumps onto you. Just something to consider...

Never thought of that

I never thought about that actually, that's a good point. I never let my pets on the furniture anyways, but there's so many things that dogs can't do/have that humans can it's unreal. We don't know for sure what they can or cant have because we can't communicate with them obviously, but it's good to be careful.

Nowadays furniture's are

Nowadays furniture's are polished with chemicals to give a brighter look which can be harmful for pets if intaken. Secondly the way the pets treat the things, when they are in mood of mischief or play, everyone knows.
